WHAT IS A WANDERING DOG?
A Wandering Dog is a different NFT collection. It invites us to connect with our inner desire for awe and new experiences. Each Wandering Dog is unique in its very personal and distinctive way, as we all are.
We hope to bring a little artistic quest and a sense of contemplative magic to the space. The collection is the work of Jos (SuperRare). As a digital artist, Jos began showcasing and selling his art in cryptoart platforms one year ago. Through the medium of digital collage he creates inviting, unique worlds which speak to us about the infinite possibilities of our imagination, our place in space and time, our memories and dreams intertwined and revisited.

TECHNIQUE
Jos’s technique of choice is known as digital collage, used by other artists such as Frank Moth or Miraruido. For A Wandering Dog, the technique used could be described as “Generative Digital Collage”.
Sometimes he has a vision and scouts the web for images which become the raw materials to help him convey this. Sometimes it’s the opposite: an image conjures a concept and he works from there.
He then scouts the web for royalty-free elements and that is where his unique craft begins: he carefully molds them, adapts them, tries them, discards them, layers and combines them until he sees the finished work in front of his eyes. Each image is an instance of a larger image: the result of their combinations. Thus, from each combination of materials something new emerges. This is how Jos constructs his visual narrative.
In this case, Jos has worked his way up from the Dog as the foundation for the collage. He has curated and adapted over a hundred images which are divided into ten categories (traits), and then are randomly combined to result in 1,987 unique “A Wandering Dog” NFT postcards. He has personally, manually reviewed all of the NFT’s and made sure each and everyone of them aligns with his vision for A Wandering Dog.
